Southern Springs: A Little Bit More

02 May

The Spring, as I mentioned before, is rather warm in the South. The last few days, though, the weather was in the high 60s- for me, that’s almost cold. For a lot of people, that’s a great temperature.

Flowers blooming in the South are absolutely amazing. At my house, we have azalea bushes, most of them with vivid pink flowers on them.

This picture does, by no means of the imagination, do justice to just how beautiful these flowers are. They contrast heavily against the verdure of the grass and plants and trees and compliment the azure sky nicely.

Hearing the breeze rustle through the leaves of the huge pecan trees in our lawn is also a pleasant experience. Birds chirping, the breeze blowing, the sun shining- it’s close to paradise, really!

The picture above was taken in the afternoon, so the shadows cast are actually from the sun being blocked by our house. The petals on the ground are lovely and scatter in the wind as more of them fall.
