I am a 74 year old Retired National Guard friend of David’s. Southern Baptist is my choice of denominations although I was saved while attending an interdemoninational church. I enjoy reading about Family, Food, and Faith. James Kirksey

Hi, This is my first trip to your blog. Gigi recommended that I take a look. Gigi is a friend from my past (teans together). Anyway, I also write two blogs. I enjoyed reading this. They did the same thing here in Pineville, NC except the stop sign. They put new sidewalks and also sidewalks from Pineville, NC to the SC border which is about 2 miles on a road that no one ever walks down. Most people here ride in cars when they want to go to SC. Unbelievable how much money they spent on this little project. Had the town traffic tore up for weeks and when it was done, I really could not tell any difference in the down town area. Yes, sidewalks were a little newer but sidewalks are sidewalks. Why would you tear out perfectly good sidewalks to put in new ones???? I do not understand our local government here in Pineville. We have 43 police officers for a town that is a suburb of Charlotte and a very small town at that. The results are bored police sitting on corners trying to catch speeders 24/7. Maybe I should do some blogging on this as well. I am looking forward to getting your posts. Sharpshooter77
